Julie Klewer (Chair)
Julie Klewer is an audit partner with Ludwig Klewer & Co., PLLC. She directs the audit practice of the firm, and her areas of specialty include nonprofit organizations, construction contractors, title companies and employee benefit plans. Julie received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Arizona State University in 1988 and has 16 years of experience in public accounting, including several years with national accounting firms. In 1999, Julie received her MBA degree from the University of Arizona and subsequently co-founded Marketing Intelligence, LLC, a Tucson-based marketing research and strategic consulting business. She has taught undergraduate courses in marketing and business administration at the University of Arizona, and served as Chair of the 2006 Tucson Heart Ball benefiting the American Heart Association. She has also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and continues her service to the Society as a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Society’s Foundation for Education and Innovation.
Craig Barrett, Ph.D.
Dr. Craig Barrett received a Ph.D. degree from Stanford. After joining Intel in 1974, he served as CEO and chairman, retiring in 2009.
Dr. Barrett is a leading advocate for improving education and increasing awareness of the value of technology in raising economic and social standards globally. He chairs Achieve, Change The Equation, Arizona Ready Education Council, and BASIS Schools; co-chairs the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Advisory Board; vice chairs Science Foundation Arizona; and is on the Boards of Society for Science and the Public, K12, Arizona Commerce Authority, Tallwave, and Geothermic Solution. Dr. Barrett previously served as Chair of the National Academy of Engineering. He is on the faculty of Thunderbird School of Global Management, and Dr. Barrett and his wife, Barbara, founded Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University.
Fred Boice has been active in Arizona’s education community for more than 45 years. He served as president of The University of Arizona Foundation, Junior Achievement and the Tucson Airport Authority. As an eight-year member of the Arizona Board of Regents, Boice assisted in shaping the board’s first long-term, system-wide strategic plan to increase the number of Arizonans with bachelor’s degrees by expanding lower cost options for degree attainment to make Arizona more academically competitive. Fred Boice is also a member of the SFAz Board of Directors.
Cindie Hubiak, CPA, CGMA, serves as president & CEO of the Arizona Society of CPAs, representing a membership of 5,500 CPAs and leading a staff of 11. She is also a trustee for the Papp Investment Trust and serves as the audit committee financial expert. Cindie has worked in public accounting and in business, including international assignments in Europe and Asia, and has been recognized as one of the top women in business and the community in Arizona. She received her B.S. in Accountancy and her MBA from Arizona State University and is certified in alternative dispute resolution. Cindie has written four books, meditates each morning and enjoys being outdoors.
