Focus: The cornerstone to this strategy is to focus primarily on key areas that are of the greatest importance to Arizona including: Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Sustainable Systems (SUS) and Biomedical Research (BIO).>>
Collaboration: SFAz brings together both public and private support in a powerful partnership. SFAz innovation grants encourage collaboration between industry, government and the academic sector to leverage financial resources and human capital skills that yield measurable returns.
Measured Outcomes and Return on Investment: Research in which SFAz invests through its grant making process is purpose-driven research with the highest potential for yielding real benefits for the people of Arizona. A component of this benefit is the ability to commercialize the outcomes of the research into greater businesses opportunities, new companies, and new knowledge-sector growth.
